Backbone's Global BBF Fractional Asset Fund or the “BBF Fund”began in Q3 2020 when Christianne Carin, an award-winning professional, the BBF Fund's CEO and the GP’s Principal, began developing the design of a proprietary end-to-end InvesTech Platform.
This includes the proprietary Alternative Digital Ledger Technology (“ADLT”), which is NOT a blockchain. By 2022, Christianne and her team had integrated BBEX, a fractional asset trading platform, to become an SEC-registered securities exchange, among many other proprietary assets. These components together form the basis of the intellectual property used by the BBF Fund and its clients.
Backbone Funder’s ecosystem provides impact investors with liquidity, online retail investors with a registered trading platform, and creatives, startups, innovators, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and communities with a viable source of funding.
The purpose of the BBF Fund is to provide funding and liquidity to a diverse group of innovators and creatives from the bottom 70% of local economies, helping them become the economic backbone of their communities.
